端午节，也称为龙舟节，是中国传统节日之一。通常在每年的农历五月初五庆祝，它的起源与纪念中国古代著名爱国诗人屈原有关。佩香囊是端午节的重要习俗之一，多用绸布制成，内装雄黄、熏草、艾叶等香料，佩戴在身具有驱蚊、防病、避邪等作用。在2008年入选第一批国家级非物质文化遗产扩展项目名录。在这一天，人们也包粽子、赛龙舟、把艾和菖蒲挂在门口，这个节日也越来越被外国朋友们所熟知与喜爱。

The Dragon Boat Festival,also known as Duanwu Festival,is one of China's traditional holidays,usually celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.Its origin is related to the commemoration of the famous patriotic poet Qu Yuan in ancient China.Wearing sachets is a key custom of the Dragon Boat Festival.Made from silk and filled with realgar, mugwort and other fragrant herbs, these sachets are worn to repel mosquitoes, prevent illness, and ward off evil spirits.In 2008 this tradition was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.On this day, people also make zongzi, race dragon boats, and hang mugwort and calamus on their doorways.The festival is gaining popularity among international friends as well.
